Sr. Electrical Engineer
This opening is for a Production Test Support Engineer in the Test Automation and Factory Equipment(TAFE) of Raytheon Intelligence and Space (RIS) business unit. This position is based in Forest, MS, and will support production and testing of complex electronic systems, units and modules associated with military radar and communications products. Responsibilities include development and maintenance of Test Procedures, root cause analysis and resolution of test failures(hardware and test environment), maintenance of related STE (Special Test Equipment), and training of technicians. Required Skills:
o (BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or close equivalent discipline with 4
years relevant work experience) or (MS degree in same disciplines with 2
years relevant work experience) o 6
years of relevant experience in technical design and testing of radar and communication systems o Proven experience troubleshooting and performing failure analysis on RF circuits with demonstrated knowledge of associated equipment. Must understand radar theory and application. o Ability to understand and interpret Acceptance Test Requirements o US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a security clearance. Desired Skills:
o Familiarity with radar systems through Ku band. Familiarity with avionics communication protocols. o Experience with modern Automated Test Systems for electronics o Strong skills and experience performing analysis of technical data o Lab experience with RF network analyzers and spectrum analyzers o Excellent communication skills including report writing and presentations o Current DoD Secret Clearance or one that was active within the past two years. Requires advanced knowledge of work area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have practical knowledge of project management. Practical to substantial knowledge of RTX projects, programs or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work. Typically requires:
A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience Engineering/Other Technical Positions:
Typically requires a degree in Science,Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
