Principal Software Engineer

Job Description:

The Raytheon SAS Hardware Electronics Center (HWEC) Test Automation Department is responsible for the design, development, deployment, and on-going factory support of test equipment supporting a wide range of products including Airborne Radar Programs, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Systems (ISRS) and Electronic Warfare Systems (EWS) customers.
Our Forest Mississippi Test Automation section is currently seeking an experienced, qualified test software engineer to assist with the development of test solutions to exercise and analyze deliverable product. Software responsibilities will include the development of test algorithms, test sequences, data reduction, and data analysis. Other responsibilities will include HW/SW integration and post-delivery support of test equipment. The candidate will be expected to follow established procedures and instructions (IPDS and EIs) while working closely with both program and functional supervision to ensure that overall design objectives are met. The candidate must be able to support inception-to-sunset life cycle efforts including proposal generation, conceptual modeling, design, build support, integration, and sell-off activities.
The candidate must be a self-starter and willing to take ownership of assignments. The candidate must also be able to prioritize actions and effectively communicate when assistance is required.
Required Skills:
  • 8+ years of experience in software development
  • Experience with NI development suite (LabWindows/CVI, LabVIEW, TestStand)
  • Experience with C++ or C# software language
  • U. S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.
  • U. S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U. S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.

Required Education: B. S. degree in Computer Engineering (or other related degree, i. e. Computer Science)
Desired Education: Master s degree in Computer Engineering

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
